Claude for Colorado law firms, rolled out the way the new rules expect

Colorado amended its Rules of Professional Conduct for AI in January 2026. We train your lawyers and staff on Claude, write the firm AI policy, and build the workflows that recover write-downs, without client confidences ending up in consumer tools.

Sound familiar?

Your associates are already using AI. The question is whose.

Most firms we talk to don't have an AI problem; they have an unmanaged AI problem. The fix is a firm-approved tool, a short policy people actually follow, and a few workflows that are clearly better than the shortcut.

  • Research and first drafts written down because the hours aren't billable
  • Associates pasting client facts into personal ChatGPT accounts
  • A hallucinated citation away from a sanctions motion
  • Intake and conflicts checks that bottleneck on one paralegal
  • Deposition and medical-record summaries eating weekends

What the rules now expect

Frequently asked questions

Can lawyers in Colorado use Claude with client information?

The rules don't ban it; they require competence, confidentiality and supervision. In practice that means a firm-managed business plan, a written policy, informed judgment about what goes in, and verification of everything that comes out. Confirm your specific obligations with ethics counsel.

Which Claude plan should a firm use?

Claude Team for most small and mid-size firms; Enterprise when you need audit logs, SCIM or custom data retention. Never personal or free accounts for client work.

Do you provide CLE credit?

Not currently. Our sessions are practical training; if you need CLE, we can work alongside your CLE provider.

How do you prevent hallucinated citations?

Workflows are built so Claude works from documents you provide, and every citation is checked by a lawyer against the source before anything is filed. We train that habit explicitly.
