Operator-led, not consultant-led

Dorje Group was founded by Jeff Christy, who ran Broadnet as CEO for 20 years. We bring that seat's judgment to Front Range companies that need senior leadership without a full-time hire.

Our story

Why an operator

Most fractional leaders come from one function: a former CTO, a former CMO, or an AI trainer. Running a company for two decades is different. You own the P&L, the board conversation, the hiring mistakes and the technology bets all at once.

That's the perspective we bring. We help leadership teams decide what to build, what to buy, how to market it, and how to put AI to work safely. Then we stay to make sure it happens.

How we work

  • Published prices. You know what it costs before the first call.
  • No hourly meter. Monthly retainers and fixed fees only.
  • No vendor cuts. We don't take referral fees from software vendors, agencies or MSPs.
  • The person you meet does the work. No bait-and-switch to a junior team.
  • Written recommendations. Every engagement leaves documents your team can use without us.
  • We plan to leave. The goal is a team and system that runs on its own.

Plainly

What we're not

  • Not an MSP. We don't sell managed IT, so our advice about your MSP isn't conflicted.
  • Not a dev shop. We don't sell engineering hours, and we don't take referral fees or vendor cuts.
  • Not an hourly meter. Every offer has a published monthly or fixed price.
  • Not a recruiter. When you need a full-time hire, we help you hire well and step back.
  • Not a templated "Denver" page from an out-of-state firm. We're here, and we show up in person.

Why “Dorje”?

A *dorje* (Sanskrit: *vajra*) is a ritual object that stands for clarity and something that can't be broken. It's the mark in our logo, and it's the standard we hold our advice to: clear enough to act on, and solid enough to hold up under pressure.
